Get Me Out Of This Box Now
It is six in the morning on a sunny Sunday on September eleventh in New York. Officer
John Melvin, age 33, from the fantastic Port Authority Police Department wakes up, quietly
trying not to wake his wife up, to go to work as rescue officer. John took his job because he loves
to help people. The PAPD controls the vast law enforcement, the blasting firefighters, and the
heroic rescue operations in both New York and New Jersey. Rebecca his wife wakes up next to
him.
Good morning honey. Rebecca states softly.
Oh hey honey buns, I was not trying to wake you up, go back to sleep and get some rest you
have a long day today. John replies quietly.
Right as john is about to hop in the shower, he hears this bedroom knob twist slowly and the
squeak of the door as it opened slowly. Creeping in come his two children Wolfgang and Teresa;
running to the bed. They jumped on Rebecca waking her up again.
Mommy, Mommy wake up time to take a shower and make breakfast. says Wolfgang the
eldest.
Wolfgang and Teresa leave your mom alone she needs all the rest she can get! shouts John. I
will make you guys some sweet banana pancakes with strawberries and scrambled eggs.
Ok daddy. Replies daddys little girl Teresa.

After John showers, he prepares the delicious meal he promised to make his kids. While
they sit and eat on the dinner table, Teresa turns on the television and begins to channel surf.
Put some carton network. says Wolfgang.
Teresa replies, No me and daddy want to watch the news.
While they argue over what channel to put John takes the controller from Teresa and puts the
News channel 11.
Seconds later John is shouting, What the @#$*!
Rebecca wakes up due to the shouting and questions, What the hell is happing in out here I am
trying to sleep!?
John replies franticly, Someone has high-jacked a plane and is coming towards New York.
Johns rescue team division is in New York, so he is very worried. John kisses both of his
children and says in sorrow, Be strong and take care of you mom for me.
Rebecca states with worry, You better come home! I love you John!
I promise I will be back! Shouted John has he sprints to his red and shiny 1990 Ford Mustang.
John opens is car door in a hurry and starts the car within the same second. He turns on the radio
to the news station. It has been 10 minutes since the FBI has gotten the call from the high
jacked plane. Says the news reporter.
It only took 5 minutes for John to get to work due to the fact that he had a police siren and his
super speedy red mustang.
As he parks and gets out his boss Sargent Chief Master David informs him of what is going on.
We got a call from a passenger in the plane that has told us that some Middle Eastern males
have taken control of the cockpit. said David.
Oh my god, do they want money or what? replies John confused.

We do not know yet. Replies David
Seconds later, the rescue department got a terrible phone call, Hello it is the President of the
United States. The plane that was high jacked has just crashed and struck the left town of the
World Trade Center. I need your team to go in and rescue all of our men. And hung up
immediately, leaving the whole rescue team in shock but they were still ready to work.
Are you ready for this John? states David
John replies, Of course I was born ready!
While the teams prepares by gearing up with all the right equipment to save lives
Rebecca and her two children Wolfgang and Teresa are at home watching the news and are
worried about their daddy.
Mommy is daddy going to come back? cries Teresa
Rebecca replies, Yes sweet heart he will come back like he said.
Wolfgang interrupts Rebeccas next sentence, Do not worry Teresa I will protect you and
mommy.
Back at the station, John and his team are on the way to the tower. When they get there people
are running out of the building.
One pedestrian yells, No dont go in there! You will never come back out!
The team is not worry due to their excellent training and preparing for a disaster like this to save
people.
John shouts back calmly, We got this all under control!
When they get inside the building, there is people still running out and suddenly pieces of the
building begun to come down.
The building is collapsing! yells one of Johns teammates.

They began to run toward a freight elevator to but to safety. But there was no place safe expect
for being ten miles away from the falling building. The building soon all collapsed with seconds.
John was pinned down from his hips down. He had a piece of concrete pierce his leg.
John had a huge fear of confined spaces and began to have panic attacks.
One of his teammates had been killed from a falling piece of wall and was killed on impact.
His other teammate is screaming, John are you there!?
John could barely reply, Yes I am here.
His teammate is stuck as well, couple of feet away from John. John is thinking of how to control
his self and gain control of his panic attacks due to his phobia of confined spaces. He also is
scared to die because he promised to come home to his family.
Twenty-two hours passed and both John and his partner were pulled up from under thirty feet of
building debris. Both were survivors and both were in critical condition.
Rebecca get an urgent call from the hospital and rushed there with her two children to see there
father.
Teresa asks, Is dad okay?
Rebecca quietly replies, Yes daddy is okay.
But little does Teresa know that her daddy is a survivor of the saddest day in New York.
Hey daddy, your back! shouts Teresa.
Yes I am like I promised. Replies John with the last of his soul he has.
John had recovered movement in his legs within over 10 years and is starting to walk on his own.
Never again will John be scared of confined spaces and he will never be scared of death again
because he lived it and passed.
