    Description of On the Job Internship Placement

    Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School is located in south Baltimore City, serving
    students from Federal Hill and South Baltimore neighborhoods. This is a diverse school that
    consists of students from various cultural backgrounds. Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle
    School houses approximately 500 students, 66% of the students in this school are Caucasian,
    24% are African American, and 5% are Hispanic. This school serves students from prekindergarten to grade 8, with an early learning program for three-year-olds. Thomas Johnson
    Elementary Middle School implements the full inclusion model to provide special education
    services to students with special needs. During my fall placement at Thomas Johnson I interned
    in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. During the Spring semester placement I interned in a Kindergarten class.
