PART A: Describe how students could create and publish an original movie, audio file, podcast, or vodcast in order to achieve
required learning standards. Challenge: For an A provide an idea where the learning activity reaches a LoTi level 4a or
above. To do this you will have to design a project where students engage in higher-order thinking and publish their work to an
audience that will use or care about the results. Broad feedback for their work is also a great way to boost interest and
performance.

read and describe the lives of historical figures in Georgia history.
Brief Description of Learning Experience: What learning standards will be addressed? What will
students and teachers do? How will the project be introduced? How long will it take to complete? What
audience will use/care about the multimedia projects students are creating? How broad is this
audience? How will student work be assessed and by whom? Who will provide feedback to students
about their work? After learning about the brave and inspiration life of Jackie Robinson, students will watch a short
video of pictures that shows the accomplishments of Jackie Robinson. After the video, students will engage in a whole
group discussion about Jackie Robinsons life, and the unfair treatment he encountered during his time.
Student Engagement/Higher-Order Thinking: What LoTi level would this lesson be and Why?
Which indicators of Engaged Learning are strong and why? LoTi level 4. After students watch and
discuss the life of Jackie Robinson, students will write their personal view points and
emotions on how they think they would feel if they were in Jackie Robinsons shoes before,
during and after his accomplishments. Students will upload their personal views and
emotions to the classroom blog and will be shared the next day.
Importance of technology: Why is using a multimedia authoring tools critical to the project? Could
the project be completed without this technology? What would be lost without using it? What other
types of technology, if any, are going to be used in the learning experience? Technology was very
important in completing this video of the life of Jackie Robinson. Multimedia tools is a
great way for students to fully be able to engage and look into the life of Jackie Robinson.
The YouTube video used is in interactive way for students to see the real-life experience of
Jackie Robinson. The images allow students to also see how the times of Jackie Robinson
differ from present time.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Briefly discuss some possible issues surrounding internet
safety and student privacy that could arise while implementing this learning experience and explain
how youd minimize risks to students/yourself, alleviate any fears by parents/administrators, and
follow school districts Internet Safety/Use Policy. It is important for teachers, if he or she wants students to make
their own video, to have filtered browsers when searching for videos and images on the internet.
