Obamas Speech for Immediate Release
The chosen essay was Remarks by the President in the State of the Union Address,
spoken by Barack Obama on January 20, 2015. Baracks speech main message is its time to
move along from the war fights and time to reincarnate the last 15 years of the U.S.. The United
States has been a new country for fifteen years. Fifteen years dawns with terror touching our
shores; that unfolded with a new generation fighting two long and costly wars(Obama). Hes
been the United States president for over four years and declares to start over as a new and
renewed country. Through his speech, he applauded many people of his words for about ending
the war fights and have immediate released.
Obamas speech had some believe from his opinion, to let America know that he believes
the countrys economy can be better in the future. His belief was his purpose. Obama mentioned
a number of how things have changed in the United States, for example, he said And over the
past five years, our businesses have created more than 11 million new jobs.(Obama). Obama
caught the audiences attention by sharing a story of his grandparents was in World War II, as the
results, he told that childcare is provided for the people who are working. As he continues doing
his speech, he applauded the audience as he kept saying We can do it! in the end after every
couple of paragraphs of his speech.
Obama also has the passion to make the United States a better place as he spoken his
speech, trying to have the citizens know that he really does want to make the United States a

greater future, not just to give what the people want to hear. We dont just want everyone to
share in Americas success, we want everyone to contribute to our success, I still believe that
together, we can do great things, even when the odds are long(Obama). This speech is about
motivation, a promise that cannot be broken to hundreds of thousands of people in the United
States, and once his speech is out to the country. As the president of the United States of
America, Obama knows he has a duty for his people; he cannot back out, take back what he said
about making his country better and break his word. With the believing emotion is placed in his
speech, he applauded not only to the citizens hope and pride, but to what they trust in him and
that is Obamas believe.
Obama had this speech prepared so he can try to connect to his people, get their trust for
a better future about and telling them he has proof of how the economy will be better. The way
he connects to his people is to tell his plans that hell offer to them. Obama said We cant put
the security of families at risk by taking away their health insurance, or unraveling the new rules
on Wall Street, or refighting past battles on immigration when weve got to fix a broken system.
And if a bill comes to my desk that tries to do any of these things, I will veto it. It will have
earned my veto (Obama). He gave one of his future plans and said they should and can trust
him.
Obama would figure his U.S citizens might not take his word or promise just because
hes the president of the United States of America; he prepared to place the information in his
speech for his citizens. Obama took the liberty to give out some proof of how the world is
actually changing. And the best scientists in the world are all telling us that out activities are
changing the climate, and if we dont act forcefully, well continue to see rising oceans longer,
hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods, and massive disruptions that can trigger

greater migration and conflict and hunger around the globe (Obama). Obama arranged his
speech by giving the good points of how the world is changing to how badly it could be in the
end.
As Obama continue giving his speech, he tries to convince that his plans to his citizens
that they want to personally try to make the country better, to succeed. Not only that, Obama
mentioned mostly the things people would want to hear, the freedom of speech amendment,
equal rights for women, the same gender couples, voting, etc. Those were some of the important
and most world well-known topics, and they all made the world bigger than it was before. My
only agenda for the next two years is the same as the one Ive had since the day I swore an oath
on the steps of this Capitolto do what I believe is best for America (Obama). He believes he
can be one of the best and most proud presidents who stood before him, to make the country a
better one.
In conclusion, Obamas speech was effective because he mentioned mostly everything he
could think of how the country did change in his speech, the big main events that has change
before he had this speech. It was also effective because he compared the past major events to his
own and use them to make his country even better. His entire speech is about making the United
States a new and better country, which he does believe and has passion about. Also let people
know that he will make things equal for everyone, and to have this only connection with
everyone in the United States. As Obama closes his speech, he said Fifteen years into this new
country, we have picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off, and begun again the work of
remaking America. We have laid a new foundation. A brighter future is ours to write. Lets begin
this new chapter togetherand lets start the work now (Obama). Overall about Obamas

future.
