Social Media Story Suggestion

There are many things The Currier Museum of Art could do in order to
persuade a younger audience to attend their exhibit, First Folio! The Book that Gave
Us Shakespeare. As we are in the midst of a digital age, a great place to start
advertising for this presentation is on social media.
A great social media site to look into regarding drawing in a younger crowd
would be Tumblr. Tumblr is a very popular social media blog site known for its
creative users. It is for this reason that Shakespeares first folio would be well
received on their website. First, the museum could create an account, and then
publish blog posts about the First Folio as well as other upcoming exhibits. Posting
about different mediums of art and artists would enable users to find Curriers blog
in the first place and potentially follow it. A great feature offered by Tumblr is the
ability to tag posts, which is where users would be able to find the Curriers
information. Simply tagging Shakespeare, or First Folio would enable users
searching for those keywords to find the museums posts and blog. In the case of
The Currier Museum, as the organization would be new to this media, it would be
beneficial to tag as many things applicable as possible, to ensure a large audience.
Furthermore, tagging the location of the museum as Manchester, New
Hampshire, or even Boston, would further open the channel for local users who
are more likely to attend to see. This would be the best way to establish a social
media presence, given the following Tumblr attracts.
