Eating Meats
Food is the main thing that makes humans live. Nobody can survive for
one week without eating anything. There are two main sources in this world
which provide us with food; animals and plants. In every meal that you eat,
you must find meats, vegetables, fruits or all of them but the meat is always
the main thing in the meal. However, there are some people who believe
that eating animals is a wrong thing and they decided to stop eating meat
and to be vegetarian or vegan. For sure, they have their own reasons to
make them believe in that but in my opinion I believe that eating animals is
the right thing to do and it is completely fine for health, economics and
natural reasons.
Firstly, eating animals has a lot of benefits for the human body. It also
depends on the way of cooking the meat. For example if you eat a fried
chicken it will not be a healthy food because of the oil that was cooked in it
and that will give you a lot of fat. On the other hand, if you eat a piece of
grilled chicken breast or steak with a piece of bread or rice, that kind of
meals will give you almost everything that your body need to basically be

healthy. If you took a closer look on that kind of meals and see what we are
getting from it, you will see that it is important to eat it. Let us start with the
chicken breast or steak; you will get a lot of protein, fat, cholesterol, sodium,
potassium, iron, calcium and some vitamins. Adding a piece of wheat bread
or brown rice will add a small amount of carbohydrate to the meal. According
to Dr. Vivion Tarrant in his article the benefits of meat Lean red meat is an
important part of a balanced diet, and is recommended by the leading
international professional bodies including the Department of Health in this
country. Lean rod meat contributes high quality protein, zinc and vitamin B,
in addition, it is the primary source of iron in a balanced diet, and the iron
content of meat is in direct proportion to its redness(Tarrant). This quote
shows that eating meat is good food for diet and shows the good nutritious in
the meat. I think the most important nutrition from all of these is the protein.
It is a very important component for every cell in the human body. Also, it
very important for every muscle in the body so, if you planning to build your
muscles, a piece of steak will be your favorite meal. In addition, protein is not
the only good nutrition. Iron plays a major role in transporting oxygen in the
body and producing red blood cells. Sodium also is good for building
muscles. That is mostly the important things from the meat. Also, the human
body need carbohydrates to function because it provide the body with
energy that we need for our daily routine so, adding brown rice or wheat
bread to the meal is a good idea. Additionally, eating seafood in general also
has a lot of benefits. It is one of the good sources of high protein, low fat and

omega-3 fatty acid. Omega-3 is considering one the most important nutrition
in the fish because it can help to protect us from hearts diseases.
Furthermore, eating meat is something that we do every day twice or
three times so, imagine if the whole world decided to stop eating meat and
starts to be vegetarian. That will definitely impact the economy of every
country in the world. At the recent time there are plenty of restaurant in
every place in the world and people eat out a lot. I personally dont know
how to cock and I live far away from my family so, I eat always outside at
any restaurant. If somehow everyone in the world became vegetarian,
almost all of the restaurants will go bankrupt because most of them serve
meat and dont have vegetarian food. It will also affect supermarkets
because they sell a lot of kinds of meat and it is consider a main category in
any supermarket. These will lead to stop a lot of farms and from that a lot of
farmers will lose their job. And that will increase the number of the
unemployment people. According to the Kiplinger Agriculture Letter Meat
exports add big dollars and cents to U.S. farm income. U.S. Meat Export
Federation says last year's record beef and pork exports added over $9 a
cwt. to the average price of fed cattle, about $4.70 a cwt. to average hog
price. Meat exports also accounted for about 205 million bu. of feed grains,
23 million of soybeans...fed here, shipped overseas as meat. This is showing
that selling meat provides the country with a lot of money and it is affecting
the economy of the country. So, stop eating meat and being vegetarian will
give us a lot of economics problems that we do not need them.

In addition, eating animals is a natural thing to do. Most of the people


are not vegetarian and they eat meat every day. If it is the wrong thing most
of the people will stop eating meat and start to be vegetarian. Also, I do not
think there is any religion in the world that stops people from eating meat
and that shows that eating meat is not a bad thing because if it is a bad
thing one of the religions will says that so people can know. Adding on that, if
we stopped eating animals their number will increase a lot and they will be
more than humans and that will bring a lot of problems. For example, if the
number of animals increased a lot there will be not enough places for them
in the forest or in the farms so, they will have to move to any near city and
that will lead to chaos in any city because some of animals and humans
cannot live together. I believe some of the animals are meant to be just for
eating and nothing else. For example, a cow, we can get milk and dairy
product from it and we can eat it. I do not think there is any another benefit
that may help us from a cow. Also, not all the animals are good for eating.
Some of the animals are not for eating and we can use them for something
else like riding or hunting.
Nowadays, a lot of people are deciding to be vegetarian. There are
several reasons why people become vegetarian. Firstly, in their opinion it is
healthier. In her article Why One Has to Be Vegetarian? Namra Kr. Mahato
maintains that Becoming a vegetarian is one of the best things that you can do for your
body. There is less chance of being overweight and there is healthier glow/clearer complexion.
Fruits, vegetables and nuts contain the necessary minerals and nutrients for your body to

properly function. While meats contain helpful compounds, including certain types of acids and
protein, it is possible to acquire all of the necessary nutrients without eating any animal
products (Mahato). This implies that our bodies do not need meat to function. I disagree with
her because although we are getting almost everything from fruits, vegetables and nuts but I do
not think that we are getting enough protein and iron from them because no matter how much we
can get protein from another source it will never be as good as the animal protein. Also, we can
eat meat in a healthy way and that depends on the cocking but we have to do sports to burn
calories and in my opinion thats a healthier way than just to eat vegetables. The second reason is
the way that they treat animals and kills them. A lot of animals are treated in a bad way. For
example, some of farms put a lot of animals in a small room without windows so the sun does
not come in and little food that is not enough. Also, a lot of animals are getting killed in a savage
ways. For instance, there are animals get killed by electric shot or they get hanged until they day.
These ways of killing and treating animals are not acceptable for anyone who has a heart but stop
eating animals is not the solution to stop them from doing that kind of killing. The best solution
will be to stop this torturing is by putting laws that protect animals rights. Also, there are mercy
ways of killing animals. Golnaz, R., Zainalabidin, M., Mad Nasir, S. and Eddie Chiew, F.Cs
view, The halal concept emphasizes safety, hygiene and wholesomeness of food. It also
provides an excellent platform for healthy eating. Consideration of the place and process of the
animals being slaughtered and most importantly, the condition of these animals would not
endanger the health of diners, are a prime focus of what Halal is all about. This is shows one of
the mercy ways of killing which is the halal way. It is the way of killing animals in Islam. The
idea of killing animals that way is to be less painful and the food become healthier. First of all,
the knife that we are using it for killing should be very sharp and we should hide it from the

animal so it wont freak out and it should be one hit on the nick so that all the blood will go out
from the dead body. That is just one mercy way of killing animals.
To sum up, eating animals is an important thing for people in general. In the meat there
are a lot of nutritious which are good for your health and for your body to function such as
protein and iron. It depends on the way of cocking meat as well. Also, it is helping the economics
around the world so; stop eating animals will have impact worldwide. And it is a natural thing to
eat meat because the majority of people are doing it. So, eating animals is good and delicious.
