answer some of the simplest questions with great in-depth answers. The website
also has other tabs about different helpful recycling information. The purpose of
this website is to educate people of recycling. The Q & A that the website offers
is very informative. It answers all questions that someone would have about the
benefits that recycling has on the economy, and world. My plan is make a
Pinterest board on recycling and I think that some of this information could be
used for it. This website is made by Stanford University. The name of the

questioned.

"Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Mcginty Lauds Home Depot's

Nationwide Cfl Recycling Initiative." US Fed News Service, Including US State
News 24 June 2008: n. pag. ProQuest Central. Web. 25 Mar. 2015.
The article was about Home Depot and how they decided to switch the CFL light
bulbs. The article was found in the Washington DC newspaper in 2011. The
name of the author of the article could not be found, but in the article it is
mentioned that Kathleen A. McGinty who is the secretary of EPA applauded The
Home Depot. This article gives a summary about the light bulbs and the effects
the light bulbs could have on cities like Pennsylvania if they were used more
often. This article gives a different look to recycling and how it isnt just putting
things in a green bin. The light bulbs in the article are a form of recycling, they
conserve energy and last longer than normal light bulbs. CFL light bulbs would
definitely be something that would need be included into the Pinterest recycling
board. This article may have not been as informative as the others but it still has
valuable information. One of the first things that the article states is that a
member of EPA recognized what Home Depot was doing with these light bulbs,
and what a change they would make. This article was found on ProQuest,
therefore making it a creditable source to use.

"Frequently Asked Questions." EPA. Environmental Protection Agency, 13 Dec. 2013.

Web. 25 Mar. 2015.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or sometimes
USEPA) is an agency of the U.S. federal government which was created for the

purpose of protecting human health and the environment by writing and

enforcing regulations based on laws passed by Congress. (Wikipedia) EPA is
the provider of the website, giving it its credibility. The website consist of
frequently asked questions about recycling for US citizens to refer to. Some of
the questions that are included in the Q & A are is recycling worthwhile, what is
recycled, and what happens to recyclables. This Q & A is to inform and persuade
readers to recycle. Throughout the article may of my questions were answered. It
is a very helpful website, and tells you what happens to your recycling. This
could be a helpful thing for a pin on the Pinterest board, as well as the things that
can and cant be recycled. This website has be a huge help, and has be very
informative. The federal government sponsors EPA and all of its research. The
information on this website could not be false for that very reason. EPA has its
headquarters in Washington, DC where most of its research and experiments are
held.

Gold, Lauren, and Sgvn. "Alhambra Ordinance Closes Local Recycling Centers." Pasadena
Star - News 17 Apr. 2012: n. pag. ProQuest Central. Web. 26 Mar. 2015.
Author Lauren Gold has written many other articles, some pertaining to
environmental needs and others about local news in Pasadena, California. This
article was published in the Los Angeles Newspaper Group. This article talks
about how a recycling center was shut down in the town of Alhambra because of
the noise it caused. The town has already closed three other recycling centers
because of their lack of use. They were all closed because they were seen as a
nuisance and made much noise. This article does not support or in any way

advice to recycle, and this can be used in my essay to show how it is wrong and
hurting the community. I do not agree that closing down recycling centers
because they cause too much noise is reasonable. This article will be a good one
to repute, and show how we do need recycling centers in our communities. Once
again this article was found on ProQuest making it reliable. All of the
information is provided for this article on ProQuest. One thing I did do was
research the town Alhambra to make sure this actual did happen, and it was
credible.
Juska, Florence. "Newell Recycling News." The Brooks & County Chronicle 22 Sept. 2013:
n. pag. ProQuest Central. Web. 26 Mar. 2015.
The author of this article is Florence Juska and so far this is his first published
article, and it was published in the Alberta Weekly Newspaper Association in
Brooks, Canada. The article is titled Newell Recycling News, and the article
focuses on environmental protection and different recyclables. Throughout the
article it states what should be recycled and it goes in depth into which kinds of
plastics should and shouldnt be recycled. While reading this article I learned
about many things that could be recycled that I didnt know about. It is very
important that the public know what can and cant be recycled and this article
covers it pretty well. These information is very important and should be included
in both my essay and Pinterest board. This article may not be one of the strong
ones but it still has important information. This was one of the articles that I
found on ProQuest, making it a reliable source. Some other ways that I could
have found if this was a credible source is by looking up the newspapers history
and if they are a trusted source.
