Assessment
Students will be given credit if they have at least four facts
written down by the end of class.
Students will be scored on a ___/3 scale. They will be given
credit for each question they answer.
Students will be scored on a ___/2 scale. Could they tell me one
thing that was different about tornadoes and hurricanes, and
one thing that was similar?
Students will be given full credit if they use at least three key
words: such as introduction, hook, body paragraph, conclusion,
supporting details.
Students will have to answer questions, in which they will be
checked off if answered correctly. They will be scored out of 5.
They need to get three correct to pass.
Students will be given credit if they can tell me one topic
sentence and one transition that they used.

Rubric

Students will be given credit if they use and return a rubric to


me. This rubric will require them to think about their writing and
use self-efficacy.

Paper

This assesses the students skills that they have built on all
week. The rubric used to score this is broken down into nine
parts. Students will receive one/ two points for each that is seen
in their research paper. It will be scored on a ten point basis.
Students will need to make at least a 70 to pass.

Post Assessment

Students were given the exact same assessment as they had


for the pre-assessment.
