Standard:
CCSS 9SL 2: Integrate multiple sources of information presented in diverse media or
formats
CCSS 9SL 4: Present information findings and supporting evidence clearly, concisely,
and logically such that listeners can follow the lines of reasoning and the organization,
development, substance, and style are all appropriate to purpose, audience, and task.
CCSS 9SL 5: Make strategic use of digital media and presentations to enhance
understanding of finding, reasoning, and evidence to add interest.
CLE 3210.5.1 Associate structural, functional, and behavioral adaptations with the
ability of organisms to survive under various environmental conditions.

Objective: The student will be able to present their research from reading the Jurassic
Park novel.
The students will be able to assess the validity of other students presentations.
The students will be able to explain the habitat and adaptations of organisms on the
island.

Method: The students will present their final project for this Jurassic Park Unit. Our
Biology classes and English classes will meet in one room to watch the presentations.

Assessment: The students be assessed by Mr. Bontrager and Ms. Cain on their
presentations with a rubric. The students will complete a self-assessment. The students
will also be assigned to assess another groups presentation.
