Type of Experience: This class was the first clinical course, my experience was focused
on learning how to establish and build relationships with patients as a nurse practitioner,
so that together with the patient, we can jointly discover the issues and problems that
need attention and priority. Good history taking, effectively interviewing a patient, and
being courteous were qualities emphasized during this course to enhance effective
patient-provider relationship or rapport.
