Kameralny Chr Mieszany Duc In Altum - Duc in Altum Mixed Chamber Choir
was established in September 2011 at the Redemptorist Parish in Gdynia. In the
year 20011, the idea was born of creating a singing group, which would help in developing the musical sensitivity of the parish and enrich the liturgy. Father Przemysaw Raczkowski started conducting the choir, while at the same time he began his studies at the Stanisaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdask. The choir's activities draw on the traditions of the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Peter the Fisherman, an example of which was the parish choir Zorza (Aurora). In June 2014, the choir received two awards at the Polish National Choir Festival of Contemporary Choral Music Music Everywhere in Gdask: The Silver Band in the mixed chamber choir category and took third place in the overall scoring of choirs participating in the competition. Also worth noting is the choir's participation in the diploma - undergraduate examination, where the choir was highly rated by the examining commission composed of professors of the Academy of Music in Gdask. The repertoire of the choir Duc In Altum includes sacred compositions of W. A. Mozart, J. S. Bach, M. Durufle, F. Anerio, A. Koszewski, F. Nowowiejski and others.
