Sarah Baird was a student teacher in the Seton Hill University Child Development Center during the spring 2015 semester. Sarahs placement was at the preschool level. Sarah exhibited qualities that showcased her teaching abilities. Sarahs lessons were well planned, organized, and executed. Additionally, her lessons were creative and reflected her knowledge of child development while she addressed center goals and objectives. Sarah possessed a keen ability to self-reflect about her lessons and make necessary modifications. Sarah learned quickly. She was patient and flexible. These qualities made her a natural in the preschool classroom. She was also comfortable in front of the class. She respected the students and students respected her. She effectively managed the classroom by providing structure and pre-determined behavior expectations. Sarah easily established a rapport with the children, staff, and parents. Her initiative and work ethic were exemplary. She consistently followed the guidelines for student teaching participation. Sarah was always willing to do more than what was required.
