I believe the best educators are the ones who make the content engaging,
meaningful, and relevant to students' lives. Simply lecturing on a specific
subject matter is not enough. Children need to be involved and invested in
what they are learning. I also believe that the overall goal of education should
be to teach children to love learning. I think that the most obvious way to
achieve this goal is through modeling. The very best educators really show
their students that they are passionate and enthusiastic about what they teach.

Work Experience

CVS Pharmacy Employee, June 2011 Present


As a sales associate, I assisted customers to ensure that they had a
positive shopping experience.
As a pharmacy technician, I help people lead happier and healthier lives by
managing their medications. I also maintain a safe, clean, and organized
work environment. The pharmacy is fast-paced, so I have to be able to
work quickly and efficiently.

Teaching Experience

I have observed and taught in various schools across the Tennessee Valley
during my time in the UAH Teacher Education Program. I have taught in the
Madison County, Madison City, and Huntsville City districts in Alabama. I have
also taught during the ESY (Extended School Year Program) at Mill Creek
Elementary School.
