----In G.O.(MS) No. 144 / School Education (GE) Department,
dated.18.09.14, the Government have issued an amendment to Rule 12 of
the Tamilnadu Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules,
2011. (copy enclosed)
In view of this, all the Schools affiliated to Boards other than the State
Board of School Examinations (Secondary) and the State Board of School
Examinations (Higher Secondary), Government of Tamilnadu shall make a
self declaration within a period of 30 days in Form-I, to the Director of
School Education, the Competent Authority regarding the compliance or
otherwise with the norms and standards prescribed in the schedule and
fulfillment of the conditions specified in Rule 12(1) of the said Rules.

All the Chief Educational Officers are requested to communicate the

above position to all the schools affiliated to Boards other than the State
Board of School Examinations (Secondary) and State Board of School
Examination (Higher Secondary) and instruct those schools to obtain
Certificate of Recognition

in accordance with Rule 12 of the Right of

Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011.
