Ayerim Aguilar was enrolled my Pre Calculus course during the school year 2013-2014. This current
school year, she is enrolled in my AP Statistics class. She stands out in my class as a respectful,
determined, and caring student. In fact, she has been enrolled in almost all of the mathematics courses
offered at our high school, which is rare in our school.
As a mathematics student, Ayerim quickly absorbs mathematical concepts with accuracy and
understanding. Not only can she do mathematics, but she also understands mathematics. She knows the
concrete meaning behind the abstract language of mathematics. She demonstrates this understanding by
orally presenting mathematical problems to the rest of the class. Also, she shares this mathematical
knowledge in small groups with other students. Ayerim has demonstrated both critical thinking skills along
with communication skills.
In addition, she has carried over these skills outside of the classroom. She is involved in extracurricular
activities and plays other roles in other settings. Ayerim is an active member in the HYLA and PAL Club,
in addition, to being a member of the Fashion Club. Also, she is an athlete and has played on the
volleyball, basketball, and swim team at our school. Furthermore, she has been involved in the community
in organizations such as PAL, Migrant Education, and Saint Anthonys Youth Group. She has
demonstrated excellent academic achievement while balancing extracurricular activities.
Ayerim Aguilar is an outstanding student who efficiently and effectively demonstrates spectacular work
both inside and outside of the classroom. She has clearly demonstrated that she is capable of pursuing a
rigorous academic schedule and will be successful in any desired field of work. With great pleasure, I
would highly recommend Ayerim Aguilar to you without reservations.
