Summary
Creative and dedicated teacher librarian with a student focused methodology and a desire to
engage and challenge students to become 21st Century and life-long learners. Strong technology
skills and an interest in continuing my own learning in order to stay current with the needs of
students and colleagues. Looking forward to developing collaborative relationships with
colleagues and administrators, students and parents.

Professional Experience
Created and taught several lessons with regard to ethical and responsible use of
resources in accordance with the Common Core State Standards, ISAIL and NET-s standards.
Co-taught with several third grade teachers as part of their inquiry unit.
Conducted story time with kindergartners and first graders.
Experienced the role of the high school librarian by conducting the fall freshman
interest survey in order to assess reluctant readers, setting up the displays for the fall books,
ordering and maintaining the library collection through processing new and donated books,
and creating an introductory database research lesson in accordance with the Common Core
State Standards, ISAIL and NET-s standards.
Helped implement a multiple author visit and conducted several fall book talks.
Attended staff meetings and a staff institute day regarding teacher assessment
and student learning outcomes.
