Because I know everyone

Tell an adult or teacher if I
observe bullying.
Walk a victim away when they
are being bullied.
Advocate for myself when I
am being bullied.

friends and others.

including persons with
disabilities.
Be an UPSTANDER, which
means haviang the courage to
stand up and speak out.

Theme: How to be an
UPstander
The essay should reflect each
students own thoughts and work
Essays must be typed on white
paper (8.5x11)
Essays may be no longer than 2
pages using 11pt type or larger
Each entry must include the
following information on the
back of each page:
This is what an
UPstander looks like.
Students must design their own
concept of how to be an UPstander
and then interpret that idea into
an original work of visual art
The words: How to be
an UPstander... must appear
somewhere on the poster.
Limit of one (1) entry per student
Artwork may be submitted in any
of the following media/formats:
Drawing Painting
Mixed Media Digital Art
Poster size must be 11x17
Each entry must include the
following information on the back
of the poster:

Video PSA
How to be an UPstander
Entries may be done by an individual
student, a team of no more than
four (4) students, or a single class (as
a class project) in middle school
Students will create and record
a 30-second video Public Service
Announcement (PSA) entitled How
to be an UPstander
PSAs must be no longer than
30-seconds in length
PSAs must be submitted on a DVD
Each entry must include the
following information on the
DVD sleeve:

Grades 6 to 8 All winners receive a
Kidsbridge WALK2STOPBULLYING
T-shirt PLUS:
1st place: $50 gift card 2nd place:
$35 gift card 3rd place: $20 gift card
Honorable Mention (T-shirt only)
Note: Each team member receives a
Gift card and a T-shirt. Maximum of
four students on a team. Classes receive
the 4-person group prize to share.
All DVDs become the property of
Kidsbridge and may appear on the
Kidsbridge website or links to the videos shared for promotional purposes.

General Information
Students may submit one entry per category.
The Entry Form that follows must be filled out completely and submitted with each entry.
Entries will NOT be returned. All entries become the property of Kidsbridge.
Winners for all contests and their schools will be notified in May.
Students can compete in more than one category, but can only win one award.
Students, family members and nominators will be our honored guests at the 2015
WALK2STOPBULLYING to be held on Saturday, June 13, from 9am to noon on the Educational
Testing Service corporate campus in Princeton, NJ.
Free admission for contestants, family and friends.
