6th grade teachers, Resource teachers, Instructor
Materials: Computer, Laptop, Promethean Board, Internet, Video Presentation, Print Resources.

ISTE 2: Teaching, learning, and assessments
Technology Coaches assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning,
differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all
students.
ISTE 4:Professional development and program evaluation
Technology coaches conduct needs assessments, develop technology-related professional learning
programs, and evaluate the impact on instructional practice and student learning.

Create a Symbaloo account
Create a Webmix and Tiles
Create a Symbaloo Webmix with at least three valuable resources

Differentiation strategies to meet diverse learner needs:


Auditory, visual and kinesthetic activities will be included. Online Learning Module for distance learners
included.

ENGAGEMENT

The instructor begins the Professional Development Tutorial by introducing teachers to a fun and
simple web 2.0 bookmarking tool that helps them organize and store all of their digital resources
in one place (the cloud).

EXPLORATION

Using the Symbaloo Slide Presentation entitled Teachers Are You Ready to Symbaloo? the
instructor gives the participants an overview of this web 2.0 tool and its various features.
The participants will view the Teachercast Live blog to learn more about Symbaloo and how it can
be used as a tool for the classroom.
The participants will create their own Symbaloo account using the Interactive Symbaloo Tour.

EVALUATION

The participants will create a webmix and develop it by adding tiles.


The participants will add at least three valuable resources to their webmix that will enhance
student instruction.
