Block 2
Rise of Hitler
1. Document 4 is a primary source because it came from Mein Kampf, which was from the point
of view and written by Hitler himself.
2. The reliability of Document 1 is questionable because it came from the German Socialist
Workers Party, and had very prejudice views to the Jewish population as well.
3. Document 3 supports Document 2 because they both collaborate with the general hatred for the
Treaty of Versailles, and share the same idea for regaining and reforming Germany.
4. The rising unemployment rate shown in Document 6, helps to explain why the Nazi party
dominated by the time of 1933, as shown in Document 8.
5. Kirdorf's comment on Hitler shows how lustful and enthusiastic to friends he is. His logic and
straightforwardness is expressed through Kirdorf as well.
6. Hitler was able to gain immense popular support in his rise to power because of the multiple
situations in place, that went in his favor. Adolph was an eager and committed spokesperson,
where he persuaded and wooed the public. On top of his personal techniques, living in
Germany was going from bad to worse, with unemployment rates on the rise. Using these
scenarios to his advantage, he sparked a fire of passion within the general public, which allowed
him to gain power.
