Assessments
Informal: Teacher observation of student responses during full class
work. Responses from students during the pair and create assignment,
and from the review at the end.
Formal: From students decorum and presentation on the day of the
fieldtrip.
Summative: Student decorum and presentation on the day of the
performance, followed by a student evaluation rubric in which they
assess themselves on the criteria discussed in the lesson, and given on
the review sheet to take home and share with parents. Students will
be given a rubric with a scale of 0-5, with accompanying explanations
as to what each number means in each category, on which they will
circle what they feel is an appropriate assessment of how they did. The
teacher will review it, and mark if there are any discrepancies.
