Early Years
A.Prince Siddhartha was born in 563 B.C.,
near the Himalaya Mountains. His father
was a king and his mother was a queen.
His parents knew that he was going to be
a remarkable prince later on in life.
B.Ashoka was born to the Mauryan
emperor. His mother was a queen. His
fighting qualities were obvious from a
very early age. He was given military

training. People know him as a fearsome

hunter.
C.The Gupta empire began with
Chandragupta and his family. When he
was born, his father died very soon after
that. When he was little, he was reared in
a village among hunters.
D. The Gupta family ran the Gupta
Empire. It started with Chandragupta at
first and it passed down to every other
Gupta.
Significant Events
A.After Prince Siddhartha found out that
people were suffering from aging,
sickness, and death; he wanted to be an
ascetic. He cut his hair, wore a rope and
began his life as an ascetic.
B.Ashoka ruled the Mauryan empire from
269 to 232 b.c. Ashoka expanded the
empire from south to east. After one
brutal battle, he didnt want violence
anymore. He gave up hunting and
became a vegetarian. He changed.
C.Chandragupta Chandragupta, with the
help of Chanakya, defeated the Magadha
king and the army of the Chandravanshi.
After his victory, he defeated the
generals of Alexander.
D. The Gupta family had a lot of great
achievements. They made seven great

advances for India. The Guptas

achievements were universities,
literature, painting, sculpture, metalwork,
mathematics, and roads.

made people to be kind, respectful, and

V. My impression
A.Very kind and wanted to strike for the
week people.

B.Gave up a lot of things to reject violence

and I think that is very brave of him and
very heart-warming of him.
C.Chandragupta was very intelligent and
was a very strong military leader. He
found a way to defeat the generals of
Alexander and that is very shocking and
amazing in my opinion.
D. Made a lot of difference in India that
changed a lot of things. The Gupta family
made it possible for Ancient India to have
universities, literature, painting,
sculpture, metalwork, mathematics, and
roads
