Subject: Letter of Recommendation for Ms. Kritzia Rosas- Feliciano to graduate studies at Wayne State
University
To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Kritzia Rosas- Feliciano for
consideration to graduate programs at Wayne State University. I have known Ms. Rosas-Feliciano for 1
year as her supervisor and feel comfortable/excited speaking to her many assets that make her a strong
candidate for graduate studies.
Personally, Ms. Rosas- Feliciano is an intelligent, capable, dedicated, and personable young woman. She
is always quick on her feet, with sensible reactions in all the circumstances I have seen her in. I feel
confident in saying that she is capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. She
often demonstrates other exemplary qualities: respect for others, initiative, confidence, self-discipline,
integrity, and an extreme potential for growth.
Professionally, Ms. Rosas-Feliciano displays a strong work ethic and is exceedingly reliable. She is selfmotivated, has great leadership abilities, time management and organizational skills. Ms. RosasFeliciano engaged herself in the Detroit VA Management System (DVAMS) an Evidenced Based
Practice that incorporates several components derived from the Toyota Production System. The DVAMS
LEAN Management System seeks to provide the highest quality of care at the lowest cost within the
shortest lead time. Using this process Ms. Rosas-Feliciano displayed creativity and innovation in
developing a visual management process improvement project that has been adopted by all three
community living center units at Detroit VAMC. This project encouraged team members to adopt patient
care environments and keep them free from environmental clutter which prevents falls, injury, and
ultimately make the care environment more inviting. Because of her efforts the Detroit VAMC was
viewed by Long Term Care and Office of Internal General (OIG) surveyors as being a clean, safe, and
inviting care environment.
Academically, Ms. Rosas-Feliciano displays outstanding intellectual ability, written expression, and
academic involvement. Recently she has completed research on homeless female veterans which can
assist in approving and expanding services for Detroit area women veterans who are either homeless or
at risk for becoming homeless. My overall impression of Ms. Rosas-Feliciano is she will not only thrive
in graduate school but will help others she encounters to thrive as well.
Ms. Rosas-Felicianos commitment to her own academic advancement in relation to promoting
opportunities in education makes her an ideal candidate for graduate studies. Therefore, I more than
enthusiastically recommend Ms. Rosas- Feliciano.
Sincerely,
Charmagne Johnson, MSN, RN, CNM
