Re: Kritzia Rosas-Felicianos Application for the MSW program
Dear MSW Admissions Committee,
Ms. Kritzia Rosas-Feliciano, a BSW student in the School of Social Work at Wayne State
University had requested a letter of recommendation from me to accompany her application for
the MSW program at Wayne State University. I agreed to write one, without any reservations.
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Wayne State University
where Ms. Rosas-Feliciano is currently a BSW student. I have known her since fall semester of
2013. Ms. Rosas-Feliciano was enrolled in my SW 3510 Human Behavior in the Social
Environment class. I have had many opportunities to evaluate her academic performance and her
potential for the social work profession in my class. In my class, I found her to be an exceptional
student who completed all her given tasks with extremely impressive results. Her assignments
were completed promptly, diligently, and thoroughly. In particular, her writing is very
impressive, and she brought new perspectives and insights to class discussions and activities. Her
writing skills clearly demonstrate her ability to understand and analyze the social problems. She
was engaged in my class through discussions and questions. She had demonstrated a solid grasp
of the topics and materials covered in my class. Her final grade for my class was A+. Her oral
and written skills are truly exceptional. This is not surprising, considering that she made the
Deans List in 2013-2014 at Wayne State University.
As indicated in her resume, she had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the past
two years and was awarded Nursing Appreciation Award for dedicated services most recently. In
addition, she had been involved as a volunteer at Thorne Elementary School and has field
placement work experiences in Sacred Hearth Rehab-New Life most recently. To facilitate her
understanding of social work issues, she had also participated in Alzheimers and Dementia Care
Seminar, which was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affair. All these experiences
also clearly demonstrate her potential for the social work profession.

Ms. Rosas-Felicianos academic and career goals are consistent with the values and goals of the
social work profession and the School of Social Work at Wayne State University. It is without
any doubt that she would continue to excel at in the MSW program at Wayne State University
and beyond. She will be an asset to the School of Social Work and the social work profession. I
strongly believe that she will make significant contribution to the social work professional
community, and the MSW program is the first step towards realizing her academic and career
goals. I strongly urge you to accept her application for the MSW program.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached by
email at fl4684@wayne.edu. Thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,

Jun Sung Hong, PhD
