Summer Laureate University for


Youth (SLUFY) is an educational
program that provides a unique
environment to explore and
expand talents and abilities while
meeting other talented students
and developing friendships.

Small Classes

Class sizes are limited to 10 at the


kindergarten grade level and 15
at the 1st through 8th grade levels
to enable our teachers to work
effectively with each participant.

Summer Laureate. Please contact
the Summer Laureate office at

will need to be done by a nonguardian. You may use a different

How to Apply and Pay




Recommendation from a teacher


for the student to participate in a
program for high-ability students
IQ test score of 120 or above
Acceptance to a school gifted
program

Application Packet Requirements

1. Complete an application online


or by mail.
2. Provide ONE national or state
achievement or aptitude test
results from the previous school
year at or above the 80th
percentile in a specific area of
study. Examples include ITBS,
SAT, PSAT, ACT, or PARCC.
3. Provide a Recommendation Form
completed by a teacher/ mentor
4. Payment of non-refundable $25
application fee.

Not all parents have the means to send their children to Summer Laureate.
Your monetary donation will help us offer scholarships to children with
high potential who live in poverty. Please consider making a tax deductible

Martha Gaunt Bass Scholarship Information

Scholarships are open to all students eligible for Summer Laureate and
cover $200 of the program tuition. They are awarded to applicants who
demonstrate financial need. Print a scholarship application at ualr.edu/
slufy or call 501.569.3410 to have one mailed or faxed to you.
Students must apply for the Summer Laureate program before applying
for a scholarship. Scholarships are NOT first come, first served.
All scholarship applications are due on tuesday, May 19, by 4 p.m.
