Program Information

When I was in first grade, my

teacher Ms. Moffit asked everyone to tell her
what we wanted to be when we grew up. I told
her I wanted to be like her. At that age I
didnt know how much dedication and effort it
took to become a teacher, all I knew was that
she was happy, fun, full of energy, and made
me enjoy learning.
Children learn best through
experience. Children learn from doing,
exploring and observing people, places and
things. As an early childhood educator I teach
children during their most formative years. I
teach simple concepts that are necessary to
progress in life. I observe children grow from
babies, into toddlers, into preschoolers. The
children I teach become a huge part of my
life, and leave memories that will last a
lifetime.
It is my responsibility to pay
attention and tend to every individual childs
needs. As Ignacio Estrada stated, If a child
cannot learn in the way we teach, we must
teach in a way the child can learn. A child
enters my classroom with limited social
experiences and departs with knowledge and
memories. I did not have much as a child.
When I reflect on my life, I am happy I
experienced everything I went through
because it made me who I am today. I know
Im capable of greatness, and I want to instill
this in the children I teach. My classroom is a
welcoming environment for children and
families. My goal is to create a happy
environment that is pet friendly, helps develop
a positive self-image, encourages healthy
eating, and establishes healthy attachments
with caring adults. I support the development
of the whole child and create curriculum that
is child centered. I want all of my students to
grow, learn, find success, and live happily ever
