The Media Pro is a woman-owned, full-service media, marketing and communications agency that
uses integrity, passion, innovation and collaboration to spark creativity, foster goodwill, develop lasting
relationships, connect audiences through visual storytelling and deliver measureable results for our
customers. We do this through active listening, resourcefulness, compassion, playfulness, budget
maximization, and the ability to tell a good story through great visuals and relatable content.
The Media Pro is a WBENC certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) and a certified HUB firm

We are a team of award- winning creative, visual storytellers & media/marketing experts. We have
more than 25 years experience working with dozens of businesses, non-profit organizations, state and
federal agencies and individuals. Owner, Jill Hammergren has also spent the past 25 years providing
media expertise and consultation to Special Olympics staff, volunteers, athletes, media, sponsors,
celebrities, and spectators at International World Games. As part of a team of communications
experts, we facilitate international media coverage, crisis communications, celebrity interaction,
sponsorship support and enhancement in an effort to promote, educate and create awareness of
acceptance, inclusion and tolerance through Special Olympics. The Media Pro specializes in
connecting with a variety of audiences from small children to adults. Hammergren is also a Certified
Social Media Strategist and has facilitiated social media strategy and engagements that deliver
desired results.
The Media Pro has produced a series of videos, educational tools, training and marketing campaigns
and collateral for many non-profit organizations, state and federal government agencies, business and
individuals. Our focused, creative writing, engaging approaches and our ability to visualize key
messages and tell great stories resonate with, entertain , educate, and inspire audiences for videos,
major network and cable TV programs and films, commercials, PSAs, e-learning and training
curriculum, graphics and animation, rich media content, scripts, print and online collateral, branding
initiatives, advertising, PR and awareness campaigns.
We produce intriguing projects for education, social awareness, marketing, business,
entertainment, health, environment, science, & technology. We create and develop messages that

SwingPals- The Media Pro works with Doug Hodges, PGA Professional, Performance Coach and Mental/
Emotional Game Mentor on his non-profit organization, SwingPals. This organization is designed to give
North Carolina children who face adversity the opportunity to fully realize their potential and to lead
confident, productive, and enriched lives. SwingPals events foster trust, self-esteem, and confidence. It
also introduces adults to the mentoring process by engaging them in golf events with children who are
eager to learn the game, thrive with adult interaction and encouragement, and seek long-lasting
friendships through golf. The Media Pro developed all content and design for the SwingPals website
swingpals.org and produced marketing materials and videos that tell the SwingPals story.
ThinkWorkPlay- The Media Pro works with Doug Hodges, PGA Professional, Performance Coach and
Mental/Emotional Game Mentor. We've developed comprehensive media and communications
strategies for a business designed to help tour players and other golfers develop trust, creativity, and
focus to gain greater access to their potential, to experience hope, confidence and greater imagination
for improved performance on and off the golf course. The Media Pro also produced all the video clips
found on the website thinkworkplay.org.

Hidden in Plain Sight, Investigating Human Trafficking - The Media Pro produced three video
segments for the NC Conference of District Attorneys to train law enforcement on how to recognize and
prevent human trafficking. The video won an International Telly Award for Excellence in Training. This
video production involved creating true-to-life scenarios involving various victims of human trafficking.
The Media Pro hired actors to portray those scenarios. The video is being used to train law enforcement
officers across the state. This project was done in a two-to-three month time period from concept to
completion.

Gamble, Ecuadorian Airlines, Tudal Winery, Clarkston Consulting,
and others have consistently won industry awards.
He has been involved in media production for network television
since his early years as cinematographer on groundbreaking
television series such as Miami Vice and Unsolved Mysteries. He has
numerous show credits from Discovery, A&E, Lifetime, NBC, and has
won a Primetime EMMMY Award commendation for his
Cinematography.
As Supervising Producer / Director and Production Manager, K. James
Peterson managed media production for a $1.5 million training and elearning contract at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mr.
Peterson has produced and managed projects for the US Army and

impacts on workers and community residents by reducing emissions of hazards materials from collision repair

Debarment. A fictional program office must compete a new grant and the task is given to a new
e m p l o y e e . The 1-hour video follows her and her co-workers experience with the process. For use in EPA

Martin Brown received his BA in Radio Television and Motion Picture
Production from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has
attended both the International Film & Television Workshops and the Film Director's
Workshop. Beginning his television career in 1981, he has
worked in all facets of commercial and broadcast television production.
