Reciben el nombre de maquinas sincronas todos aquellos convertidores electromecnicos rotativos capaces de transformar energa elctrica en mecnica.
Los motores sncronos son usados como servo-controladores en aplicaciones como
equipos perifricos de computadoras, robticos y como controladores de velocidad
ajustables en una variedad de aplicaciones como: bombas de carga, grandes abanicos
y compresores.
Estos motores son a menudo referidos como motores "DC sin brocha" o motores conmutados electrnicamente.

Los objetivos del presente trabajo son:

Hacer conocer la constitucin electromecnica de los GS.


Familiarizarse con la simbologa y conexionado de los GS de nuestro laboratorio
en los ensayos segn las normas IEC y NEMA.
Conexin y puesta en servicio del GS.
Inversin de giro.
Determinar sus prdidas, eficiencia en funcin de la corriente de campo y
armadura.
A partir de los ensayos realizados obtener el modelo de la mquina.
Registro de los valores caractersticos y curvas caractersticas de funcionamiento
bajo carga de los GS.
Evaluacin de las mediciones realizadas y registradas.
Presentacin del protocolo de pruebas segn normas IEC, NEMA y IEEE.

Dado las circunstancias del laboratorio y teniendo en cuenta que los equipos son muy
valiosos es que debemos tener muy en cuenta lo siguiente:
1. El alumno verificar el dimensionamiento de la instrumentacin a utilizarse, as
mismo constatar que sus esquemas estn bien planteados.
2. Para evitar el deterioro y/o avera de los instrumentos y equipos, HODOXPQRQR

3. La escala de todos los instrumentos debe ser la mxima.
