The Municipality of San Enrique is a Fourth Class Municipality as to its
Economic Status. It is located in the midland portion of Negros Occidental with a total land area of 11,250 hectares. It is bounded in the North by the town of Valladolid, South by Pontevedra, East by the Guimaras Strait and West by La Carlota City, it is 37.5 kilometers away from Bacolod City and traversed by the National Highway. As of December 2012, the total population of San Enrique is 25,440, 12, 771 comprises the male population while 12,669 comprises the female population. Its annual growth rate is 0.1603. The Municipality of San Enrique has ten Barangays and a total number of household is 5087. Farming and fishing is the main livelihood of the people. San Enrique has one main health center, nine barangay health stations; it has 15 RHU staff, 59 registered barangay health workers and 14 barangay nutrition scholars. Total birth rate of the municipality is 17.3/1000, while registered death rate is 4.1/1000. As of 2013,
