Teaching Point- Brainstorming, group brainstorm, transition words (first, next, then, last, later, finally)

Work on graphic organizer of their choice- sequence web including sequence words
Conferencing:
Help students select a graphic organizer
Help students brainstorm their ideas

Minilesson:
Teaching Point- Transition words, adding details
Model- Writing draft piece in writing template
Workshop:
Work on Senses in Writing Planner
Work on Writing Draft Template
Conferencing:
Begin one on one conferencing to make edits, revise, motivate, help students add details
Share:
Student work- successful completion of writing draft template

Revise/Publish
Minilesson:
Teaching Point- Edits (spelling, punctuation, capital letters), revising writing
Model- Revision and final draft, how do they want to publish their piece (type it up, powerpoint, brochure, storybook,
etc.), model my final published piece
Workshop:
Work on final draft
Conferencing:
Continue conferencing with students who are in the edit phase
Share:
Student work- how they are incorporating edits into final draft, how do they want to publish their work
