Entry 2: Technology to Enhance Instruction

Integrating Instructional Technology
Information technology has been a challenge to for teachers, parents, and students to
understand for educational purposes. Communication is what a classroom setting is about, and
altogether is a set purpose to arrest the cause and effects of ones mental concerns to be
considered for a reputation as an educated person. There is to be communicated, insight of the
purpose of the information technologies that are encouraged to be supported; as themes and
possibilities to enhance the learning environment that will to create opportunity for greater
achievement.
Electronic Communications
A study was conducted for pre-service teachers to use electronic communication to make
observation to study the effects of math projects for students with the global community of the
educational field. Teachers were able to understand an approach. Electronic communications can
be used to create class, or homework projects. An advantage could be for students to connect
with the school global community, if certain students are struggling with traditional settings, or
the present classroom set up. Connecting with projects using electronic communication can be an

enhanced opportunity for students to keep up with classroom standards, and ensure success at
some degree (Poole, 200, p. 4).
Web Based Programs: Music Notation
Maxscore and the website Annberg Learner that has The Power of Music that has the
web based programs for writing and working with music notation. Scanners are a device that can
be, also used to scan personal or desired shared music pieces that can be created as a document
to upload to such, or similar web sites. The enhancement is the different type of music medium
the computer can portray. The Maxscore site states that it is more than a notation tool
(http://www.computermusicnotation.com/). Students can have numerous opportunities to
understand the songs that they can, and cannot share in group settings.
Live Journal Technology Communications
LiveJournal is a social network that has been being debated, yet with not that many
studies to assure its success. The claim of this web base program is toward ESL, in that, they can
form friendship groups on the possible networks that they can create. This program can help
students to detect when they are communicating correctly to someone, as for mistake, or detect
when they are possibly being misled. In the possible friendship groups that can be gathered, yet
students can learn to have neighbors (Ismail; Badusah; & Yamat, n.d., p. 118).

Pros and Cons of using Technology to Facilitate Learning (200-300 words)

Teachers who begin their service must become familiar with student ability through
approach with methods. In an article the authors state, The analysis indicates that participation
in email activities can be authentic to the preservice teachers and that their participation can help
prepare them to teach mathematics (Poole, 2000, p. 13). E mail communication technology

enhances the teachers insight to form an possible approach with the knowledge gained through
reported studies, or the observed capabilities of the students progress, yet the bases for study
still remains on a in class observation.
Integrating technology to enhance students experiences with music is an opportunity to
share cultural perspectives. In an article the authors states, The preservation of cultural heritage
and the possibility of employing the powerful instruments of information technology are the
main motivations for this transformation (Haus; Longari; & Pollastri, 2004, p. 118). Creating
music is a praised action, and a motivating activity, yet is debatable whether to be a subject to
discipline. Music should be introduced at the least to all grades and allowed to be a study.
The positive interaction ESL students can gain for experience, is finding correct
friendships in a group setting. This should be achieved in a classroom setting. And can be
enhances through a web based social network as LiveJournal. In the article the authors state,
The three primary features of LiveJournal dovetailed with the fact that the site is an online
community, a social network and a place for self-expression (LiveJournal, 2013), (Haus;
Longari; & Pollastri, 2004, p. 119). The theme of LiveJounal can also become classroom projects
that teachers, and parents can observe for the practice of the language that they are learning.
Wired and Wireless Classrooms (100-200 words)
Wireless communication can be a mobile activity, and can still support classroom
curriculum. In the journal article the author states, However, he also studies the key skills that
are important in web-based teaching and learning. These are rote learning and comprehension,
knowledge construction, critical thinking, problem-based learning, and collaborative learning
(Thomas, 2007, p. 1135). Yet, the purpose of a classroom setting is to avoid outside
communication when possible, and to take concern to present peer to peer relations that the

teachers can encourage, support, or supervise. The value of peer to peer reaction can still have
the same, to similar interaction with a wireless set up for a classroom. Voice narrative is
supposed to be the key difference. The majority of wireless activity has the electric current
mixed with voice narrative. Although, wireless classrooms allows the opportunity for natural
voice participation.
For example, the system WiTEC is a wireless invention that supports the classroom
setting. In the article the author states, A teacher can use this system to generate new learning
flows before class and to implement them during class (Hsue Yie; Tzu-Chien; Chih- Yueh;
Jen-Kai; Tal Wai; & Yang, 2004, p. 331). This advantage can help students to learn technology
with supervision. The disadvantages is more classroom time can be spent learning to understand
how to use the devices, and programs and lesson time can be hinder if other students are not
computer literate. Wired technology allows possible opportunity for certain students to take their
personal time in class if they do not own, such devices. Parents can make a decision to invest
into wireless opportunities if necessary. Computer literacy courses are one way to help students
to achieve an equal opportunity in classroom activity involved with computer technology.
Conclusion
Integrating technology is a means of security. There is reported that throughout the past
years that integrating technology has succeed to be established throughout the American school
systems, and even in other countries. The studies do continue to observe the benefits, advantages,
and disadvantages of the applications in the classroom setting. Information technology is a
subject that must be introduced and taught correctly. Last, the decision is an investment.
