NAEYC Standard: STANDARD
7.
EARLY
CHILDHOOD
FIELD
EXPERIENCES
Candidates
have
field
experiences
and
clinical
practice
in
a)
at
least
two
of
the
three
early
childhood
age
groups
(birth
age
3,
3
through
5,
5
through
8
years)
and
in
b)
the
variety
of
settings
that
offer
early
education
(early
school
grades,
child
care
centers
and
homes,
Head
Start
programs).
(NAEYC,
2010)
Brief
Description
of
Evidence:
Through
out
my
education
program,
I
have
worked
with
several
age
groups.
The
ages
are
one
through
five
years.
There
are
many
different
settings
that
I
have
been
throughout
my
educational
path.
I
came
up
with
a
curriculum,
taught
the
children
math,
science,
and
DAP
appropriate
activities
for
them
to
do.
I
began
my
experiences
through
bible
school,
childrens
church,
preschool
and
finally
at
the
childrens
museum.
I
came
up
with
activities
and
a
curriculum
for
the
children.
By
doing
these
field
experiences
I
was
able
to
learn
more
and
I
know
this
field
is
where
I
belong.
Analysis
of
What
I
Learned:
As
a
result
of
all
of
these
ages
that
I
have
worked
with,
I
learned
that
children
learn
different
things
at
different
ages.
It
is
important
to
keep
DAP
in
mind
when
teaching
the
children
and
making
sure
that
there
are
plenty
of
activities
for
them
to
do.
I
learned
that
not
all
teachers
are
the
same
and
how
important
it
is
to
teach
in
different
ways.
Every
child
learns
differently
and
therefore
needs
different
ways
for
each
child
to
understand.
It
can
be
difficult
at
times
but
I
know
that
being
there
for
the
children
and
there
is
family
is
important.
How
This
Artifact
Demonstrates
my
Competence
on
the
NAEYC
Standard:
My
competence
in
this
standard
is
proven
by
my
ability
to
teach
different
age
groups
and
in
different
settings.
At
Little
Learners
I
am
able
to
work
with
children
ages
one
through
five
years
daily.
Just
by
being
in
these
different
settings
gives
me
a
better
understanding
of
the
children
behave
in
the
morning
and
later
in
the
afternoon.
I
know
that
I
have
gained
new
skills
and
expanded
my
knowledge.
The
different
setting
will
help
me
as
a
future
teacher,
aide,
or
a
director.
