environmental aspects (50 points), social conditions (30 points), and economic issues
(20 points). A good performance would be a prioritize as a supplier with a good pay for
his harvest.
The idea is work together with the farmers, ensuring to maximize the quality of the
coffee, for this reason, communication with the farmers about market trends and needs
is very crucial, Conservation International helped to the farmers in Quality Control,
training programs and Operations issues and was intermediary between farmers and
Starbucks. In addition to promoting more equitable relationships with farmers, workers
and communities so that people have a better quality of life ; work and environmental
protection , seeking to protect the forest , water and animals.
