o Students will produce a document comparing/contrasting archetypical & traditional heroes


o Students will identify new concepts by writing on their flier
o Students will demonstrate acquisition of new technological skills by producing flier

o Students will compare/contrast at least 2 types of heroes in each category


o Students will use at least 3 different options in Open Word software

Materials:
o Computer, Paper, Pencil, Textbook

o Partner pairing
o Teacher assistance

Enrichment Techniques:

o Students may choose more than 2 heroes in each category


o Students may use more options in Open Word

o Students will compare/contrast at 1 type of heroes in each category
o Students will use at least 2 options in Open Word Software
Lesson Presentation
Introduction/Motivational Activities/Anticipatory Set:
o Show students sample flier and discuss characteristics of the different heroes displayed

o Use projector and open Open Word document


o Demonstrate how sample flier was created by uploading pictures and writing text
o Ask student volunteer do demonstrate using projector

o Students will work with their partners to complete flier
o Assessment will be made on final project

Closure:
o Several students will share completed flier
