Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
In the fall the preschool gets to go on a fieldtrip to Center Grove Apple Orchard. This letter is sent
home with the students so parents know about the field trip and are aware of important dates.
However, this letter is not the only communication that parents receive about the upcoming trip. I
also send home an email before the letter is send home so the families know that there is going to
be a fieldtrip, and the week of the field trip I send home an email reminding parents of the fieldtrip
and what they will need to do in preparation for their student.

Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
As a teacher, I felt sending home a reminder note to parents before our fieldtrip was very successful
because it had answered some questions parents had because of misplacing the original note sent
home. It was a helpful reminder to them about the upcoming events, and helped our fieldtrip to be a
successful one.
