Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
IEP goals must be aligned with district standards to show that the IEP goal is relevant to what the
student should be learning. I align my IEP goals with the Iowa Early Learning Standards and then
support the students learning and record his/her progress weekly.

Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
This artifact is the IEP goal for Chases reading goal. He has made a ton of progress with retelling
stories. I assumed that he would make more progress in letter identification than retelling. However,
the Little Critter books that I have been reading with him have been extremely motivating for him and
he has made a lot of progress. I was using flashcards with him for the letter identification portion of
his goal and he wasnt making as much progress so I switched to letting him use an iPad app and he
is much more motivated and has made much faster progress with the goal.
