Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
Twice a year our preschool team holds a Parent Advisory meeting.
C.- At these meetings we discuss with parents how we can better meet our district and building
goals (which are restated at the top of the agenda).
E.- We get parent feedback about our program and ideas about what things we can improve upon.
We also hear back from parents about what things we are doing well in our preschool program and
the things that they want to see continue.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better):
At my first parent advisory meeting I was nervous about meeting with parents and hearing their
feedback about our program. However, I realized that the meetings make our program so much
better. Most of the feedback that parents have to offer is that they are happy about the things that
we are doing. Also, the parents are able to offer a whole new insight that I dont know about when it
comes to preschool. I think these meeting are great and really help us enhance our program for the
student and our community.
