I recently watched the film Of Two Minds directed by Douglas Blush and Lisa J. Klein. Of
Two Minds was a film that opened the viewer up to the world of people living with Bipolar
Disorder and the ups and downs that the people living with Bipolar Disorder and constantly
experiencing. I felt that the film gave an identity to people coping with Bipolar Disorder. When I
say it gave them an identity, I mean that it gave people viewing the movie a different way to
identify the people as opposed to just seeing them as someone with Bipolar Disorder. This film I
feel was important to my research because it identifies the issue that I am bringing attention to
within my topic, which was the way people who are coping with mental illness are perceived in
our modern-day society, and making an attempt to change the way people view people diagnosed
with mental illnesses.
