Usage: Written to someone within the
company or outside.

Purposes(Examples) of
proposals

Some of the purposes are:

To survey attitudes of the consumers


To conduct a training program for the
employees
To help implement ERP within an
organization
To organize a stall at an exhibition for
sales promotion

Proposals are sales presentations,

Research Proposals
Business Proposals

Length: Short/Long and formal, may


be solicited or unsolicited.

Research Proposals

Research Proposal is usually


academic in nature.

Users:

Professors,

or

Universities or the B-schools


for which they work,

Business Proposals

Solicited Business Proposals:


Competition is likely, as others
may also submit the same.

Unsolicited Business Proposal:


The sender needs to convince
the reader/review committee
about his/her understanding of

help solve it.
