Job Description: Application Engineer

Responsible for providing system engineering and application design of NexRevs Freedom energy
management system. The position will also be responsible for application design, programming and
commissioning. The Application Engineer will work with the project and implementation teams throughout
the integration of the Freedom system.
Responsibilities:

Work with customers to determine system needs/requests

Review of site specifications, plans and scope of work to design system
Research existing or specified mechanical systems to determine best integration of control system
with the system
Create point-to-point wiring diagrams, written sequences of operation, and Niagara AX control
application programs
Design application specific programs
Create custom graphical user interface pages with Niagara AX
Provide customers with technical solutions that support their business objectives
Perform system testing and functional test at completion of the project

Basic Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as required
Team oriented and self-motivated
Strong background in HVAC, Energy Conservation, Lighting, and Facilities Management
Knowledge of automation systems, electrical concepts and building operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software and strong PC skills.
Modbus communication experience - preferred
BACnet communication experience - preferred

Experience / Education:

Minimum 2 years Niagara AX experience

Minimum 5 years experience in the building controls industry
Associates Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline
