Amanda was always punctual to the school. She understood when it was appropriate to participate in a professional
conversation and when to refrain.

Over the quarter Amanda improved in this area. Once she got to knowthe students on a more personal level, she took the
time to ask them questions and get to know them further. Evidence of this occurred when the students approached her to
tell a story about themselves or talk about the weekend, demonstarting that they see her as a trusting adult.
3. Interacts effectively with students, colleagues, administrators, parents.

Amanda is one of the most sincere and respectful pre-service teachers I have worked with. She maintains a professional
demeanor at all times and during all interactions wether with parents, colleagues or adminstrators. She does not lower
herself to the state of others if they are speaking in a negative manner. She maintains her professionalism at all times.

Amands has worked at this over the quarter and come very far in learning how to plan and organize for a lesson. Like
many teachers, she first struggled with lesson timing. By the end of the semester, Amanda had grown significantly in this
area. Her lessons were well planned with activites to meet the needs of multiple learners.
5. Communicates effectively through speaking, writing, and listening (e.g., gives clear

Amands was faced with some difficult content to teach this year (mitosis) yet she managed to communicate her
expectations to her students quite well. She was very good at explaining content in several ways to reach the learning
needs of multiple learneers. She used power point lessons and the smartboard to help teach the required content. One of
the best features of Amanda is that she is a great listener and takes the time to really answer the questions students ask.
She never brushes off their questions or give a "short" answer. She truly wants to see her students learn.
Final Comments/Suggestions for Candidate:
With more practice and experience Amanda will grow to be an excellent teacher. Her passion and dedication to the
practice of teaching can't be measured. She truly impacts the students she teaches.
