Architectural Composition Workshop

The Architectural Composition Workshop started with Semana 0 and continues

throughout the whole academic year at ETSA Thursday 13:00-14:30 for 1o, 2o and 3o
year students and Friday 13:00-14:30 for 4o and 5o year students. As in Semana 0, we
will work with key texts of architecture, which form the basis of the Degree Programme
at ETSA. The workshop is linked to subjects in each year of the Degree Programme and
is a potent, useful complementary course which is intended to help students sharpen
their critical thinking so that they can use the texts they read in the Workshop as a
platform for their work in other subjects. The Workshop will be coordinated with
submission of work and exams thereby transforming it into a cornerstone of ETSAs
strategy of transversal teaching. In the Workshop the students will be asked to carry out
specific tasks and learning activities, chosen in collaboration with the teachers of each
subject, who will get feedback from the students in the following classes. All the texts
are in English and the Workshop will be conducted exclusively in English.
