HIGH TECK HIGH 31 January 2014 To Whom it May Concern, I'm writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Abigail Upham. | had the pleasure of serving as master teacher for Abigail from January 2014 until January 2015 at High Tech High International (HTH). As a student teacher, Abigail worked alongside me in developing all our lesson plans and projects. In addition Abigail developed and delivered some of her own original lessons that turned out beautifully and | was impressed that she concentrated her efforts on making sure her lessons complemented our current units of study. In helping me to design two new projects, Abigail was really able to shine, Her creativity, coupled with her confidence and enthusiasm for the subject matter was obvious and contagious, helping the projects she co-designed to be fun as well as rigorous for our students. The students really enjoyed her presence in the classroom and her innovative approaches to teaching Abigail is also very dependable. She attended all staff meetings and our Student Led Conferences and introduced herself to all of our students’ families. She also helped me with my grading whenever it seemed to be piling up. She was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Including serving as a substitute teacher if a teacher needed to leave school unexpectedly. She is a team player and will do very well in collaborating with other teachers in curriculum planning and implementation. Abigail is intuitive and natural in the classroom. She was able to help students of all ability levels. In addition, Abigail was also very compassionate and patient with our students. She was always available to help them outside of class during lunch and after school. Her empathy for others and bright smile made our students feel instantly comfortable with her. It is for these very reasons and many more that | write this letter of recommendation for Abigail Upham and hope that you will consider her application for employment.
