Minister Alfonso meets with key stakeholders to resolve current wage impasse by the
Trinidad and Tobago Police Service

The Ministry of National Security wishes to advise that the Minister of National
Security, Senator the Honourable Brigadier Carl Alfonso is currently meeting with
the Executives of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, so as to ensure that the
traffic situation experienced last Friday and today on our nation's roadways due to
roadblocks is not repeated.
Minister Alfonso will also be meeting later this afternoon with the National Security
Council to discuss the impasse.
The Minister will also meet tomorrow with the Police Service Association,
subsequent to a meeting scheduled to take place between the Association and the
Chief Personnel Officer.
The Minister and Government are expecting a prompt resolution to the impasse
through tomorrow's meeting.
