Europe was ruling Africa
They wanted their independence
In 1963 Brittan helped the Kenyans hold an election and
they elected a president
Most people thought that the only way for Nigerians to have
rights was to become free from Brittan

EUROPEAN RULE IN AFRICA

When Europe was dividing the territory they didnt think

about the religious conflicts that would happen throughout
the people.
The Africans were also mistreated by the Europeans that
had control over their country.
There were some wars and battles between the Africans
and Europeans, but because of Europes advanced
technology they almost always won.
But the Africans did get better health care, railroads and
farming techniques.

DISTRIBUTION OF AFRICAS RESOURCES

In a country like Nigeria the distribution of oil is very good

because that is a very oil rich country, and their economy is
helped by the GDP being high at around $3000 per capita.
Most countries in Africa are very rich in natural resources
and that helps their economy greatly
One downside to it is the war and conflict over some of the
resources. That definitely doesn't help their economies.
