Dear Evaluators..

Roundtables is an exciting thing for me, when I have to present my work and something that I
know to my classmates. I think it is important to make a roundtables for us because people
around the table can always learn something new from your work. Evaluators are always want to
hear something interesting from your project, so everyone should be ready for it.
As a student, I like Global History class, I always work in class and listen to our teacher, she
always shows us historical videos and other programs. I like that we are learning everyday a new
things. I struggle with writing essays and my goal is to improve my writing skills before Ill go to
University. If I improve my writing skills before the university it will help me further.
By learning history I understand the world situations better and I know the history that
happened before me. The History helps to get the answers in the questions like why do we live
like this now? or why do we have the things like everything around us?
Today Im going to present Imperialism in Africa about the country Morocco. From this
project you will know why the various people speak different languages or why do we have a
racism. Numerous details, evidence and clear structure of my project shows strength and my
understanding of the topic.

Imperialism in Africa
In 600 A.D., Arab people started to take over Morocco and
brought their people and the Islam belief with them. The
Alaouite dynasty claims to be descendants of the prophet
Muhammad. They have ruled Morocco since 1649.
Because of Moroccos plentiful resources and location,
competition started to spark in Africa with European
powers. This is what started the Portuguese attempt to
control the Atlantic coast of Morocco in the 1400s

Morocco is a country in the

Maghreb region of North Africa
Morocco was imperialized from 1830 until 1956 and 1962.
Morocco was a part of the French Empire, French people imperialized Arabs
and Africans.
France controlled finances, public force and education, armed forces and
agriculture. French people had power on them and controlled them.
African resources were agriculture, also they had a phosphates and other
minerals including iron ore and coal. French wanted to shape Africa in a way
that would benefit European economies.

How it started..
As the world approached the 20th century, several powers grew desperate for
more land and more control. In the 1870s, the Belgian King Leopold sent
emissaries to establish trade with native Africans in the Congo. This single act
began a flurry of imperialistic activity as the other nations of Europe, including:
France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Italy, and Portugal. This immediate fight
for land. Countries as a Great Britain had industrial revolution and they needed
a new resources for their country and they started to come to the various land
to trade, and to get africans goods.

Effects..

Imperialism gave Africa more structured political system and organized

government, as they were colonized by various countries, they learned foreign
languages and they saved it till now, Europeans countries helped them with
trade but also imperialism gave them a nationalism which caused many wars
and revolutions in Africa, causing racial barriers and social problems.
Morocco gained independence in 1956 after more than 40 years as a
French protectorate. It was on March 2, 1956 that Morocco was able to
gain its independence from the French Protectorate. After French left
Morocco, the Spanish did the same. In April, the region of Morocco under
the Spanish protectorate was freed. Also, Tangier, which was given
international status, became apart of Morocco again in October. After 44
years of colonization Morocco was finally an independent country again

Effects on Africa..
The wars that came along with the Imperialism left deep scars in the nation,
causing racial barriers and social distinctions. The brutality of the Imperialist
westerners toward the African laborers are unmentionable, and conclusively the
ideas and concepts that the westerners had brought to Africa during the
Imperialist era do not outweigh the cost of African lives that were sacrificed for
European industries. According to

-in-africa/
people in Africa were used as the labor force for the Europeans, this
conflicts between them affected on the African race because they were used in
slavery, also Europeans took their resources.
