Task 1

The table shows the citizens in the United Kingdom who do not go to work spend
their time per day in 1982.
Firstly, in the morning, almost women spent more time for house work by 49% and
shopping by 26%. Beside, a lot of men did job hunting by 22% and shopping like
women by 20%. Otherwise few men liked nothing/siting around 3% and especially
drinking 2%. Women did not spend more time for many things. Just 5% they liked
reading, 3% liked walking, decorating and nothing/siting around; 2% liked gardening
and TV; 1% liked playing sport and drinking.
On the other hand, in the afternoon, men spent more time for TV. They made up
14%. After that gardening with 13%; job hunting and visiting friends or relatives
both with 12%. Other while, many women did housework. They accounted for 21%.
Next, they liked shopping and visiting friends or relatives by 17%. However a few
men stayed in bed with 1% and a few women drank with 1% in the afternoon. No
body played sport and stayed in bed.
In conclusion, in the morning both men and women did more than in the afternoon.
Task 2
Nowadays sciences develop quickly. Many diseases have had medicine. Our life
does not be too dangerous. To make these things scientists use more animals and
test on them. Some people think that their experiment on animal is reasonable. I
strongly agree with this statement. I think there are not any alternatives to animal
experimentation. I will give you some evidences to prove my views.
First of all, diseases are too dangerous today. To solve these problems, the scientist
work hard and find out the solutions. But are they good, suitable for human? We are
not sure. We can take risk and test direct on people. It is too dangerous so we need
the animals.
On the other hand, the animals sacrifice a lot of for science. They were born in laboratory and just
having some days to live. Living in there does not easy like out sides. They still have feeling. They
feel stress and face with pain when they inject. Some of them never get back with
their life. Furthermore many people have pets and they love them very much. They
never agree to use their pets for experimentation of science.
However, some people think that with high technology, we can replace testing by
computer software. In my opinion, we cannot because computers just are machines
and they do not react with true symptoms like animals.
In conclusion, to make our life more health, the animals put great achievements for
science. We should say thank you for them and we should have great treatment for
them.
