We decided that there will be 10 stools, and 1 bar stool that is a little taller. Kristen has selected
some to order but we are unsure of the size of the stools in question. If they are more than
18 then we can always cut them down. Kristen intends on ordering them Thursday.
There will be 3 tables, they no longer need to be stand-able. Evan sketched up a design, they
will be about 30 high. We discussed the possibility of making them slightly off square.
The bar will need to be rolled in and slightly taller than the tables. We discussed the possibility
of them being two pieces that connect in the middle and possibly with breaks and a small
shelf. They will need to be sturdy enough to hold Young Eponine.
What was referred to in the rehearsal report as the trap door is actually a hole in the
barricade. As mentioned it will need to be at center and the Thenardiers will need to come
out of it.
We discussed the possibility of the bishops table actually being one part of the bar and its
height being adjustable to fit the needs of both scenes.
The bed will need to be rolling and hopefully able to be pushed on by Laura J and Jordan S.
Kristen has an idea of where to get a small brass frame.
The cast will be onstage on March 4th, Orchestra in RRA
The stairs will be off stage for good after the suicide. Carol will contemplate how Javert gets to
the bridge.
Carol, Evan and Kristen will sit down and go scene by scene on Friday at 11am

of them being two pieces that connect in the middle and possibly with breaks and a small
shelf. They will need to be sturdy enough to hold Young Eponine.
- We discussed using plastic mugs and painting them to be pewter. We will need at least 15
drinking instruments between mugs and bottles. Carol has been saving wine bottles, and there
may be some in the prop room.
- There will be a bucket with a ladle for the water, this cannot be the same bucket used in Little
Cosette (Castle on a Cloud)
- We will need to have 2 candlesticks, a table runner, some silver plates and silverware for the
Bishops table. We discussed the possibility of Valjean using the table runner as a sac to put the
silver in.
- We will not be using money in the Inn but for other scenes such as The Docks, and for the
urchins and the poor, money would be stored in coin purse type bags.
- Costumes will be pulling/acquiring the locket
- For Little Cosette/Castle on a Cloud, Young Cosette will need a doll made from rags, we
discussed the possibility of a dog bone doll but fear its too dark. She will also need a bucket
and a handmade broom.
- Valjean will give Young Cosette a nice, new doll at the end of The Bargain.
- Young Eponine will need a nice doll for Little Cosette.
- For the Prologue: We will approximately 12 picks/shovels/other instruments all together (4
of each?) for the Chain Gang and a satchel for Valjean, Farm instruments for the Farm section.
- We discussed some of the personal props for the Innkeepers song. A satchel for Heidi, and a
duffle for Marshall.
- We will be using live flame for Turning, Turning and Empty Chairs. They will need to have
sand at the bottom of the containers
- Steve will be assisting Mary-Rita with props.
Lights
- Nothing to report.
FX
-

We discussed Javert leaning forward to lessen the pendulum effect on the assisted fall.

Production Meeting Minutes
Music
- There was some confusion over whether or not we had a second Sunday performance due to
the wording of an email, everything has been straightened out.
- Everything is sounding good, Dom is getting private voice lessons and Ruth is getting louder.
- We discussed having monitors at the edge of the stage so that the cast can see Jim.
- The music rehearsal on Ash Wednesday has been moved to that Tuesday, in RRA.
Sound
- Jessica and Dan will meet soon to discuss mics. Laurelei would like to be included in the
conversation.
Management
- We will need more parent help since the children will have costume changes.
- There was some confusion over whether or not we had a second Sunday performance due to
the wording of an email, everything has been straightened out.
- We will need a fight captain, Jessica will look into asking different people.
- The cast moves onstage on March 4th
- Kristen has been in conversation with Russ. He has 9 firing guns, they are $80 a month. We
have 24 hours to confirm. We are concerned with the budget for the armory. The weapons
rental will consume all of the budget, not including safety training and choreography. We are
exploring other ventures and Russ and Carol will have to meet to discuss what scenes will
need choreo so he can give us a quote. We will need a firing pistol, and a non-firing. We will
need to price ammunition. The women reloading will need the safety training as well.
Costume/Hair/Makeup
- Costumes will be pulling/acquiring the locket
- Valjean will need some sort of ragged jacket given to him by the guards at the beginning of
the Prologue.
- Carol gave Laurelei a hard copy of the character chart. She will be sending Jessica an
electronic copy.
- The wedding dancers will be: Brad, Joe, Aaron, Henry, Laura J, Jordan S, Claudia, and Tawny.
- We discussed the look for Tony and Matt and they will need to be clean shaven, but continue
to grow their hair.
- Laura B will eventually need to come in for a wig/hair fitting.
- The little girls in Gavroches gang will be dressed as little boys.
- The dirt came in today, it works well.
- Carol will think over the looks she wants for the other students and cast members
