    This paper presents a model for optimizing microgrid scheduling that considers constraints around operating in island mode for multiple periods. The objective is to minimize total operation costs, including generation costs and costs of purchasing energy from the main grid. The problem is decomposed into a master problem for grid-connected operation and a subproblem for island mode feasibility. Scheduling decisions are examined against islanding constraints and revised if insufficient generation is available, through "islanding cuts" that adjust unit commitments, storage, and adjustable loads. Loads adjusted outside specified operating windows are penalized to reduce inconvenience. Numerical tests demonstrate the model's economic and reliability performance.
