Thispaperpresentsamodelformicrogridoptimalschedulingconsideringmultiperiodislanding
constraints.Theobjectiveoftheproblemistominimizethemicrogridtotaloperationcostwhich
comprisesthegenerationcostoflocalresourcesandcostofenergypurchasefromthemaingrid.The
microgridoptimalschedulingproblemisdecomposedintoagridconnectedoperationmasterproblem
andanislandedoperationsubproblem.Themicrogridcapabilityinoperatingintheislandedmodefor
multiplehoursisscrutinizedbyaTislandingcriterion.Theintegerschedulingdecisionsdeterminedin
themasterproblemwillbeexaminedagainstthemicrogridislandingfeasibilityinthesubproblem.The
schedulingdecisionswillberevisedusingproperislandingcutsifsufficientgenerationisnotavailable
toguaranteeafeasibleislanding.Islandingcutswillrevisegeneratingunits,energystoragesystems,
andadjustableloadsschedules.Anychangeinthescheduleofadjustableloadsoutsidetheoperating
timeintervalspecifiedbyconsumersispenalizedbyaninconveniencefactorintheobjective.
Numericalsimulationsdemonstratetheeffectivenessoftheproposedmicrogridoptimalscheduling
modelandexploreitseconomicandreliabilitymerits.
