1. Produce a greetings card based on teachers
guidance
2. Recite their own jazz chants by adding the
sentences with guidance.
3. Recite and perform jazz chant with action
and using the musical instruments.

equipments (triangle, tambourine, tick tock stick etc).

Teaching and Learning Activities:

Making a Big Greetings Card


1. Teacher shows an example of greeting card. Look at the slide? What
can you see?
2. In groups of 4, teacher distributes the manila card.
a. Find 4 persons in a group.
b. Group leader, please choose one picture of festivals in my hand.
3. Pupils cut and paste the pictures and write their own sentences in the
greetings card based on their own creativity.
a. Cut the picture and paste in your manila card.
b. Write your wishes according to the festivals.
c. Make a greeting card.
Jazz Chant Sentences
1. Teacher shows a slides of previous jazz chant.
2. Teacher demonstrates the reading chant to the pupils.
3. Teacher instructs pupils to add the sentences they learnt during the
writing lesson into their chants. Add at least 3 to 5 sentences in the
chant. Example is Chinese New Year is on 28th February
4. Teacher guides pupils perform their chants with action.

Acoustic Chant
1. Teacher distributes the musical instruments for each groups. Group
leader, please choose one musical instruments for your group.
2. Teacher instructs each groups to make their own rhythm for their
chants using the musical instruments. Make your own rhythm for the
chant
3. Each groups practice their task with guidance.
4. Each groups perform their tasks in the class.
