Women Roles Switching Lanes
The day will come when men will recognize women as his peer, not only at the
fireside, but in councils of the nation. Then, and not until then, will there be the perfect
comradeship, the ideal union between the sexes that shall result in the highest
development of the race stated Susan B. Anthony. The idea of feminism has become
more popular and has changed society. Women today are not seen, as they were perceived
in the pasted years; they are not just the sexual appealing objects they are now the hero
and leader like shown in motion films Divergent and Hunger Games. Women have been
seen for years to be the sexual pleasing visual that is the victim and needs the typical
strong man to save them, now it switch roles and in many motion films the women are
now the fighters and leaders they are the ones saving the city or nation.
Google defines feminism as, the advocacy of womens rights n the grounds of
political, social and economic equality to men. Clearing this up adds to how womens
rights have been protected but yet not in film and motion art production until recently in
the past years. The idea of heros, leaders, mentors and courage comes to pay with
women now in motion art. The idea of feminism is now broad and has created a new
profile of women being the hero.
A hero is a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage,
outstanding achievements, or noble qualities, according to the dictionary definition.

Seeing just the definition in the dictionary what we go off by we are born and grow into
the idea that a hero is a man. Now a day, women have taken the role of being a hero, as
the years have passed this society has developed giving females the chance to be the new
superman, the new Rambo of the world. A hero stereotypically is a strong muscular man
that can use all sorts of weapons and can fight many at once has always represented a
hero. It uses guns, the bow and arrow, any weapon the best and is most athletic in order to
be the most endurance. Unlike now the idea of that has changed for example the film
Hunger Games promotes the idea that the main female character is the hero and leader. In
the film the main character Jennifer Lawrence is the hero who is saving the world, she is
who is the best of bow and arrow and she is the fear of the enemies. She is who leads the
group of survivors she is the face of heroism.
Motion films has a big impact for the reason that we are raised seeing all these
kind of cartoons, films and television shows one kind of position that women are shown
in and now with the new films being industrialized it has changed the way the generation
of children are being raised in. Young girls now idealize female heroes like Jennifer
Lawrence actress of the Hunger Games series. Then there is other films like Nikita, and
Divergent that have more of young ladies following there heroes giving them a stronger
output from a young age since they realize that they can take down the bad villains and
one doesnt need a superman or a man to save the world. Weapons and fighting the
villains is what women can do now and they are who we want to be now. Now the
argument is not who wins between Batman and Superman but who would survive
Katiness Everdeen and the hunger game cast or the men from Lone Survivor.

A women is like a tea bag, you cant tell how strong she is until you put her in
hot water. Showing that one does not know the outcome of giving women power and
role where they can demonstrate their strength. Even in children films feminism has
impacted, finding the perfect man is what one search for and dreams of from the first
prince charming movie they have watch. Typically the prince is who saves the princess
from dying or waking them from eternal sleep, the film Frozen demonstrated the opposite
solution compare to the hundreds of prince charming films that there is out there. Frozen
showed that the love between sisters is stronger bond and family is what real love is and
without betrayal. This gave females motivation that prince charming is not what we
should look for but value real relationship. Shows that men are not what brings happiness
but can be happy and saved by women and by the relationship like sisters have.
Dominating this idea how even princesses can handle not having the prince charming
gives the idea of not having a boyfriend is okay family is the ultimate. Although it may
sounds ridiculous and meaningless simple action of films encourages many young ladies
and motivates them. This film helps them in a good for them not to be pressure and
doesnt give the false idea of what a prince charming is and how it is not found when one
opens her door.
In the film hunger games it showed how the challenges were overcame by the
main female character Katniss Everdeen. Katniss shows a strong female that takes over in
being the man of the house because of the crisis happening. She is responsible for her
younger sister and mother. She is amazing and showed to be the best in archery and hard
worker. She suddenly volunteers for the hunger games since the chosen one was her sister
and to protect her sibling she took her spot. She then decides to be part and play a game,

which is made for the rich and higher class to enjoy watching a group of lower classmen
to participate in a game where there is only one winner and the rest are killed. This game
was made to have the most fit and smart to survive as they kill each other for the others
entertainment. Soon after the series continued Katniss continues being the one who
survives and saves the districts and become the disasters. She is the hero and out of the
film many young females follow her she has became the Disney princess remodel for
young females. She is the strong female and shows how women can use weapons better
than men like in this case archery. Then shows how her survival trenchancies are more
efficient. Normally 10 years this would not be seen it would be a man taking this position
where he is the best in using weapons and he would be the hero and remodel as well he
would be the one saving everyone. In the history of motion films women havent taken
this kind of role and been know for this kind of position as a women character. They have
her take the idea of women still plays in this film because she still is the girl everyone
finds beautiful as well as has a boyfriend. They dress her up as the women on fire and put
her make up on to not lose idea of her being a lady.
